Description

The multifunctional device Welder Fantasy BEST MIG 231 is designed for manual arc welding using the MIG/MAG (Gas Metal Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and MMA (Manual Metal Arc Welding) methods.

"WELDER FANTASY" IS A PROTECTED AND REGISTERED TRADEMARK OF THE COMPANY FACHOWIEC.

The Welder Fantasy BEST MIG 231 4x4 is a modern, synergic inverter power source offering a wide range of possibilities for welding applications. Its main advantages include the ability to weld using single or double pulse current in MIG or MAG mode, as well as the use of synergic settings. Reliability and a wide range of applications make the device suitable even for the most demanding users.

The intuitive, easy-to-use control panel allows quick adjustment of all key welding parameters. Thanks to synergic settings, it is possible to automatically select welding parameters such as voltage, current, and wire feed speed using a single knob. The device also allows the user to select the wire diameter and the type of welded material, automatically adjusting the welding parameters accordingly.

The device features smooth регулиation of welding voltage and current and is equipped with an overload thermal protection system that protects against excessive overheating of electronic components. To increase working comfort and reduce noise levels, the fan is activated automatically instead of operating continuously after the device is switched on.

Thanks to the MIG/MAG torch with a rotating head, welding in hard-to-reach areas is possible.

The multifunctional inverter welding machine BEST MIG 231 4x4 with a four-roll wire feeder is designed for manual arc welding of metals and metal alloys using the following methods:

  • MIG/MAG with double pulse option,
  • MIG/MAG with single pulse option,
  • MIG/MAG – continuous welding in synergic mode,
  • FCAW – flux-cored self-shielded wire welding,
  • Brazing,
  • SPOT – MIG/MAG spot welding,
  • TIG lift pulse – TIG DC welding with pulse,
  • TIG lift – TIG DC welding,
  • MMA – shielded electrode welding.

Thanks to the use of modern IGBT technology and high-quality components, the Welder Fantasy BEST MIG 231 is ideally suited for professional welding work in industries such as automotive, metal structures, and many others.

IGBT Technology – Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor – is a modern technology based on bipolar transistors with an insulated gate. It combines easy control of field-effect transistors with the high breakdown voltage and fast switching speed of bipolar transistors. The use of IGBT technology significantly extends the reliable operating life of welding devices.

MIG/MAG – Gas-shielded arc welding is one of the most widely used processes for manufacturing welded structures. The semi-automatic welding process involves melting the edges of the welded workpiece and the consumable electrode material with the heat of an electric arc formed between the solid wire electrode and the welded part, under a shield of inert or active gas.

MIG PULSE – an advanced welding process that uses the most efficient forms of molten electrode metal transfer. Unlike short-circuit welding, pulsed welding does not produce spatter and does not cause cold laps. Welding positions in pulse mode are not limited, as they are derived from globular or spray transfer, and their use is significantly more efficient. By cooling the spray arc process, pulsed MIG expands the welding range, and the reduced heat input prevents burn-through of thin materials. MIG PULSE is one of the best welding processes for a wide range of applications and metal types.

MIG DOUBLE PULSE – Welding using the MIG/MAG double pulse method achieves a high-quality weld appearance (scale effect). Additionally, automatic wire feeding improves welding efficiency. The MIG/MAG double pulse method allows adjustment of current pulsation (pulse balance) and wire feed speed, improving weld appearance. During MIG/MAG double pulse welding, current pulses occur in two ranges. The sequential system of our devices automatically combines two pulse levels: hot and cold.

Benefits of using MIG/MAG double pulse welding include:

  • MIG/MAG double pulse welding is faster than TIG welding.
  • MIG/MAG double pulse welding achieves TIG-like aesthetics.
  • MIG/MAG double pulse welding causes less distortion than TIG welding.

AUTO – synergic settings – automatic adjustment of welding parameters such as welding voltage, arc current, and wire feed speed. Using a single knob, the user adjusts all parameters simultaneously.

TIG DC LIFT – welding with a tungsten electrode in an inert gas shield. This method enables welding of all types of steel, including carbon, alloy, stainless, acid-resistant steels, as well as copper alloys such as bronze and brass.

TIG DC PULSE LIFT – arc ignition occurs through contact between the electrode and the welded material; the pulse function allows welding of thin elements by periodic changes in welding current.

MMA – a method using a coated electrode consisting of a metal core covered with flux. The welder feeds the electrode as it melts into the welded workpiece to maintain a constant arc length and moves its melting end along the welding line. The device allows welding with all types of electrodes, such as basic, cellulose, rutile, and acidic electrodes.

MMA VRD – the VRD (Voltage Reduction Device) function available in MMA mode reduces the idle voltage of the secondary circuit, increasing safety and reducing the risk of electric shock. The function switches the welding power on and off when resistance between the electrode and the welded element is detected during welding.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Brazing – after selecting CuSi wire type, the device enables brazing, mainly used in the automotive industry for joining galvanized sheets.
  • MIG/MAG inductance control in the range of -90 to 50% – properly selected inductance reduces spatter. It depends on wire diameter, shielding gas, welding current, and welding position. Lower inductance stabilizes and concentrates the arc, while higher inductance creates a smoother weld pool and reduces spatter.
  • SPOT welding – time-controlled welding function used for tack welding, enabling uniform weld length. Adjustable pre-gas time, welding duration, welding current, and post-gas time.
  • CSPOT welding – continuous spot welding mode allowing adjustment of pause time between welds.
  • Arc ignition via: 2T, 4T, 2Ts (special two-step), 4Ts (special four-step) with detailed control of gas flow, start current, slope times, end current, and crater filling.
  • Pulse frequency adjustment in the range of 0.5 – 5 Hz,
  • Pulse duty cycle adjustment in the range of 20 – 80%,
  • Pulse modulation adjustment in the range of 5 – 50%,
  • HotI and EndI parameter adjustment – setting start arc voltage and end current (crater filling).
  • BURN BACK – prevents wire sticking to the contact tip by briefly retracting the wire after welding; adjustable from -90 to 90%.
  • PRE GAS – shielding gas pre-flow time adjustment from 0 to 10 s.
  • POST GAS – shielding gas post-flow time adjustment from 0.1 to 50 s.
  • HOT START – facilitates MMA welding start by temporarily increasing welding current.
  • ARC FORCE – increases or decreases arc length depending on electrode distance from the welded material.
