Description

The industrial Welder Fantasy JET II TIG AC/DC 500 IGBT welding machine is a microprocessor-controlled welding power source based on IGBT technology, designed for welding carbon steels, stainless steels, acid-resistant steels, copper, brass, magnesium, titanium and all aluminum alloys.

WELDER FANTASY IS A PROTECTED AND REGISTERED TRADEMARK OF THE COMPANY FACHOWIEC.

The top-class device sets new standards among AC/DC welding machines, and the user-friendly control panel ensures the selection of all necessary operating parameters.

The welding machine allows operation in the following modes:

  • TIG DC lift-arc - In the TIG method (Tungsten Inert Gas), the electric arc is ignited in a shield of inert gas (argon), between the welded element and a non-consumable electrode made of pure tungsten or tungsten with additives. In TIG lift-arc mode, arc ignition occurs when the electrode touches the welded element. In TIG DC mode the current is direct.
  • TIG DC HF - In order to completely eliminate the possibility of contaminating the weld with tungsten, it is recommended that the electrode does not touch the welded element; for this purpose non-contact arc ignition is used with high-frequency discharges generated by the ionizer built into the device.
  • TIG DC PULS lift-arc - arc ignition occurs by contact of the electrode with the welded material, the pulse function allows welding of thin elements through periodic changes in current intensity.
  • TIG DC PULS HF - non-contact HF ignition using an ionizer in TIG DC PULS mode

  • TIG AC lift-arc - a function allowing welding of aluminum using alternating current, which performs the function of cathodic cleaning when welding aluminum. Thanks to the possibility of setting the AC BALANCE parameter, i.e. alternating current balance, it is possible to adjust the ratio of the duration of its phases relative to each other.
  • TIG AC HF - an analogous function enabling welding of aluminum with alternating current, ignition occurs non-contact through high-frequency current generated by the ionizer
  • TIG AC PULS lift-arc - welding in this mode is a combination of alternating current and pulse, which enables welding of very thin aluminum elements. Arc ignition occurs by contact of the electrode with the welded material.
  • TIG AC PULS HF - a function enabling welding of thin aluminum elements. Non-contact ignition thanks to the use of an ionizer.
  • TIG AC + DC - the ADVANCED AC function enables welding with mixed AC DC current. In a single cycle there is a transition between alternating current AC and direct current with negative polarity DC(-). This cycle repeats throughout the entire welding process. Mixed current welding is particularly useful when joining elements of different thickness. Noise emission is also reduced compared to welding with AC alternating current.
  • MMA DC+ - In the MMA method a coated electrode is used, consisting of a metal core covered with coating. An electric arc is generated between the end of the electrode and the welded material. Arc ignition occurs by touching the electrode to the welded material. MMA DC+ means welding with positive polarity – more heat is generated in the material and less in the electrode.
  • MMA DC- - the difference from MMA DC+ is that the polarity in MMA DC- mode is negative, therefore the heat distribution is reversed – more heat is generated on the electrode and less in the welded material.
  • MMA VRD DC+ - available in MMA DC+ mode, the VRD (Voltage Reduction Device – module reducing the idle voltage of the device's secondary circuit). It increases safety and reduces the risk of electric shock. The function switches welding power off and on when resistance between the electrode and welded element is detected during welding.
  • MMA VRD DC- - available in MMA DC- mode, the VRD (Voltage Reduction Device) function works analogously to MMA VRD DC+, the difference is negative polarity.

With all TIG methods the following welding modes can be used:

  • arc ignition via LIFT-ARC system (2T),
  • arc ignition via LIFT-ARC system (4T),
  • non-contact HF arc ignition (2T),
  • non-contact HF arc ignition (4T),
  • arc ignition using a remote control pedal.

DEVICE FEATURES:

  • compact, solid construction
  • small dimensions and low weight
  • IGBT transistors
  • 60% efficiency
  • easy-to-use control panel
  • LCD display of welding parameters
  • LCD display of individual program
  • possibility to save a full 9 programs
  • very wide selection of welding functions:
    • HF - the device is equipped with an ionizer that allows non-contact arc ignition.
    • PRE and POST GAS - gas flow before and after welding.
    • UP and DOWN SLOPE - increase and decrease of welding current.
    • AC EASY SETUP – the device memory contains basic default parameters with the following values: frequency 120Hz; balance 25%; gas flow time before arc ignition 0.5s; gas flow time after arc extinguishing 4s; initial current 50%; final current 50%; rise time 1s; fall time 3s. Possibility to adjust welding current.
    • DC EASY SETUP – the device memory contains basic default parameters with the following values: gas flow time before arc ignition 0.5s; gas flow time after arc extinguishing 3s; initial current 50%; final current 50%; rise time 1s; fall time 3s. Possibility to adjust welding current.
    • STANDARD AC/DC - pulsed current function mainly used for welding thin elements (even 0.1 mm thick), metals with low melting temperature e.g. lead, or welding in forced positions. Other advantages include smaller heat affected zone, greater arc stability, deeper penetration and improved weld bead appearance.
    • ADVANCED AC – welding with mixed AC DC- current. In a single cycle there is a transition between alternating current AC and direct current with negative polarity DC(-). This cycle repeats throughout the entire welding process. Mixed current welding is particularly useful when joining elements of different thickness and reduces noise emission compared to AC welding.
    • HOT START - function increasing current during arc ignition, making welding start easier.
    • ARC FORCE - function stabilizing the welding process by maintaining arc voltage regardless of its length and helping control the amount of spatter.
  • The welding machine comes with a top-class welding torch, liquid-cooled TIG torch ARC TORCHOLOGY T5W with a current load capacity of 550A DC and 380A AC at 100% duty cycle.
